Information contained in this post is intended only for current active members of the Sun City Center Apple User Group Club.

Election of officers and directors is scheduled for the club’s December, 2019,  monthly meeting. The club is actively seeking members to run for elected positions described below. Any C.A. member in good standing that is a member of the Apple Computer Group Club may run for office. If you are interested, please email with your name and the position you are interested in filling.



  • Provide leadership and guidance for the club
  • Serve as the point of contact for the C.A.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring the club follows bylaws and club activities honor all C.A. requirements and rules
  • Conduct the monthly full club meetings

Vice President

  • Fill in when other elected officers are not available
  • Manage lab monitors
  • Carry out assignments made by the Board of Directors
  • At the President’s discretion, fill in whenever the President is unable to attend to matters
  • Assume the role of President should the elected President fail to complete his or her term


  • Take minutes and maintain records of all club meetings including Board of Directors meetings
  • Maintain list of active members for meetings and mailing lists
  • Prepare content for the Communications Director covering club activities
  • Maintain list of paid members, amount paid, payment history
  • Receive membership dues for member enrollments
  • Maintain and report on the Club’s bank account (s)
  • Issue checks or credit card payment for club supplies, equipment, software and activities as directed by the Board of Directors
  • Provide any and all information required by the C.A. concerning club finances


Director At Large

  • Call Board of Directors meetings
  • Handle any Board of Directors activity not assigned to other board members
  • Work with the President to determine club direction, goals, and programs
  • Obtain approval for club direction, goals, and programs with the Board of Directors and the Club membership
  • Represent the directors to the C.A.

Education Director

  • Develop and obtain approval for training programs
  • Recommend training programs based on Apple Computer’s product changes
  • Interface with trainers including club members, Apple Computer, and third party trainers
  • Create and maintain schedules of classes
  • Manage registration for scheduled classes
  • Maintain history of training classes and attendees

Communications Director

  • Responsible for all communications with club members and the community at large
  • Maintain the club’s WordPress web site ensuring all information is current and accurate
  • Provide information to the local newspapers, as appropriate, for planned activities
  • Write a blog entry for the club’s web site at least once per month
  • Maintain the club’s online and posted calendars

Systems Director

  • Responsible for all club hardware and software
  • Create and maintain all passwords required for club hardware and accounts
  • Install updates to all club systems when available and appropriate
  • Recommend new hardware and software
  • Obtain Board of Directors approval for purchases
