Special Activities

Crossy Road Challenge

Crossy Road is an easy to play game. It doesn’t try to answer the question of why the chicken crossed the road, players just help the chicken to get across safely. We’ll be using our big screen TV for the challenge. Player with the highest score wins. Stop by and try your hand in helping the chicken avoid cars, trucks, trains, water hazards, and attacks from above.

Music Jam

We all love music. Bring your singing voice and instruments and join in. The club will provide access to Apple’s GarageBand software and to PG Music’s Band-In-A-Box, as well as an electric keyboard.

iPad Raffle

The club is raffling off a brand new Apple iPad Air 2, Wi-Fi, 64 GB. Club members, and residents of Sun City Center and Kings Point are edible to enter. Tickets are available from club officers and at the club’s lab up to the time of the drawing. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Winner need not be present.

Walk-in Help Lab

If you have questions or are having a problem with any Apple system (iMac, MacBook, Mac Mini, iPhone, iPad, or iPod), stop in to one of help labs for assistance.

Monitored Lab

The club’s lab will be open and members may use the high speed Wi-Fi and club equipment. There will be a monitor present, but there may not be anyone to answer specific questions or problems.

Living History Project

A team working to create movies based on photos and voice overs documenting individual and family histories.

Photo Special Interest Group (SIG)

The Photo SIG is a group of club members interested in photography. Members learn about and discuss approaches, options, and success stories when dealing with Apple products and photography.
